August is almost over!

How did that happen? That went by really quick! I'm glad though- because this week is shaping up to be seriously epic.

Last night a group of us went to see Melanie's pole dancing competition. Never in my life did I think I'd ever want to attend one, let alone try it myself, but lo and behold I'm seriously considering taking a class. It looks SO fun. And it's an excellent workout. Went to Mel's afterward and I was so proud of my willpower! I stayed within my points and everything!

Which leads me to the next point- I rejoined Weight Watchers. I'm doing really well- the app makes everything so easy, I have no excuses for not tracking things. And it's working. I've lost 4 lbs. in 2 weeks. Go team! Moving was catastrophic for my eating and exercise habits. We ate out so much and were so busy that I couldn't find time to work out. Now, I'm eating healthy and finding time in my day to work out even if it's not hardcore. I'm going to start running again too... I'll ease back into it but I should be back to full form pretty quickly. Have that 5k in DC in May that I want to kick ass in.

So, this week's activities:

Wednesday Night: Ryan Star at the Great American Music Hall in SF. Going with Chris and Ki. Should be a great time, we love seeing Ryan.

Thursday Night: Green River Ordinance, Switchfoot, and Goo Goo Dolls. Whoever came up with this tour rules. Seriously? 3 or my favorite bands. GRO is one of my newer musical loves. Switchfoot is my all time favorite, and Goo Goo Dolls are amazing. Finally get to see my rock star crush Johnny Rzeznik :) Hoping for a Jon Foreman aftershow, that's the only way that night could get any better! I'll be with Mel, and it's going to rule!

and finally... THE BEST PART OF THE WEEK! Friday, I get to fly out to the great state of Colorado and spend the weekend with my best friend Amanda, who I miss like whoa. God knows what kinds of shenanigans we'll get ourselves into, but it doesn't matter. It'll be amazing. I'm so excited for my vacation!
