Homeowner :)

It was official on July 19, 2010, after approximately 30 days and 100+ signatures and a crazy emotional rollercoaster. We are the VERY proud owners of our little house :) A few people that need to be thanked:

1. Our Realtor, Sandy Rainsbarger. She was amazing. Helps that she's known me literally my entire life. She helped us find the perfect house, and walked us through escrow step by step, beside us the entire way. And took us out for burritos and margaritas to celebrate signing loan docs.

2. Our loan officer, Dawn Palestini of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. She came highly recommended by Sandy, and for good reason. She was really helpful explaining the entire process and keeping us in the loop. She even called me in the evening to calm me down and break everything down for me when I freaked out about the whole process and was ready to give up.

3. My mom. Could not have done this without her. She's amazing.

4. Ki and Aaron, for putting up with us and Tiny for the last year+ and helping us move and cleaning the old house and being excited with us about the new house. And for surprising us with the "extreme makeover home edition" surprise. We're so excited for their journey too, and the things that await them in Nevada.

5. Manda and Stephen. They were not only a huge encouragement through the whole process, they helped with moving, and even painted our room with us the day we closed escrow, snacks and mountain dew in tow. I am SO bummed that they've relocated to Colorado, I'm going to miss them a lot.

6. Mel, for helping pack, move, and extreme makeover home edition. That was seriously one of the best surprises ever.

7. Matt, for fixing everything. And moving a ton. He's one of my favorite people ever.

8. Luke, for being so available and willing to help us move and do other random things around the house. We feel the love :)

9. The various people in our lives who have served as cheerleaders in our lives and who have prayed for favor for us through this whole crazy thing. On behalf of Chris and Jack and myself, THANK YOU. For everything. We truly could not have achieved this without the support of our amazing family and friends.

We're having fun (if you can call it that) unpacking and making this place our own. The kitchen was finally unpacked and deemed functional yesterday at approximately 1:30 am. Next on the agenda is the dining room/living room. Then Jack's room, which is mostly done. We just need to move the rocking chair in and clean up, and hang the clothes in the closet. I finally got around to buying a hanging rod for it.

Our room is a work in progress. It looks pretty good, but some of our furniture is still in the garage, and the vast majority of our clothes is in laundry baskets. But we're working on that a little at a time.

The last thing that will be done is the spare room. Since we don't really NEED to use it, I forsee it being the Isle of Misfit stuff. But I'll get it all done eventually. Right now I'm just pleased to be sitting on my couch in my living room and seeing that it's not as chaotic as it was even just 48 hours ago. Go team Ady!

Oh, and we have a washer and dryer. I was way too excited for that. :) Hopefully I'll get pics of all the rooms up soon.
