Jack turned one, started walking and talking, and became more adorable with every passing minute. I'm severely biased though. He does the funniest things. I swear I love this kid more every day.
My sister in law Lesley married a great guy named Jesse, and Chris and I got to go to Missouri to help celebrate! So fun to see all our family over there.
My best friend Amanda married the love of her life, Stephen. It was a beautiful wedding that I was so honored to be a part of. Chris and I love the Rabons and miss them like whoa!
We bought a house. I still can't believe this. But we did it. We're the proud owners of our own little piece of California. It's beautiful, perfect for us, and has the most kick-ass dining room ever. Rock.
Our best friends moved away. Aaron got a job in Nevada, so he left in August to start training. Nikki was a trooper, living in two places from August to December while she finished school. And at the end of July, Stephen and Amanda left to go back to Stephen's home state of Colorado. Saying goodbye to Amanda just plain sucked. I cried like a baby, then came home and cried some more. Then cried some more while watching TV, eating Ben and Jerry's, and drinking wine. I miss her.
But in August, I went to visit! I spent the weekend in Denver with Manda, and had a fabulous time. I can't wait to go back. Hopefully we can make it work to where all three of us can go visit.
Fast forward to November- Chris went to Denver to visit Stephen and Amanda and got to go to a Broncos game! Then, Chris' parents came to spend a week with us for Thanksgiving. I have never had so much fun with my in-laws. We had a BLAST. Aaron got to come home, so it was awesome. And Amanda and Stephen came home, so we got to see them!!!!!! (no, I'm not excited).
December: Nikki graduated from Sac State with her BA in English Lit. I am so proud of her. She's amazing, and I can't wait to read her newest novel! Christmas with the fam was pretty awesome as well. Good times.
And on top of all of that, there was Mother's Day, when Dallas Braden pitched a perfect game! And of course, the 16 concerts that I attended: (Please note, the artist listed is the person I went to see, not necessarily the headliner)
